With all that has gone on this past month, I wanted to do a little something extra special for KJ's birthday. He didn't want to go out and make a big fuss out of it, so we are making some of his favorites at home. Last year, we covered him in silly string after he blew out his candles. Now that was a fun moment I don't think he will forget.
I tried to make a somewhat manly tablescape, but lets be honest, is there really such thing as a manly tablescape? Guess it is a good thing I got these dishes for Christmas!
These hunting dog glasses are my favorite. I found them at a thrift store a few years ago and used them for father's day every year since then. I love the way they look with the Spode Woodland dishes.
I tried to use a table runner to make it feel more grounded, but instead it made it look for girly. I think the bare table gave it a more manly look. I hope he enjoys eating here as much as I enjoyed putting it together!
Happy Tuesday, Friends!
This looks stunning! Love those dishes too--we didn't register for them, but I think they will become a future man-cave/office gift/accessory!

I love your table! I have those same rattan chargers, same Kim Seybert gold greek key napkins, and a set of Spode Woodland dinner plates! We must have very similar tastes! Those hunting dog glasses are so cute - love them too! Enjoy the birthday celebration!
