Target has some of the most amazing paper goods, especially during Christmas time! I love the Christmas cutlery and all of the holly items. The plates are even more amazing in beautiful in person. Paper goods are perfect for those last minuet parties and also for parties that you don't want to have to have any clean up to do afterwards. The prop kit it perfect to use on top of cakes and cupcakes!

Happy Thanksgiving, Y'all! Thank you to each any everyone of you who read and follow along with A Mrs Among Magnolias! It means so much to me. I hope that you and your family and have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving!

I hope that you take the time to tell those around you that you are truly thankful for them! There will be no shopping on Thanksgiving here! I am excited to spend the day with family.

My Christmas Wishlist

Christmas has certainly changed from the days as a child, but I still love spending Christmas with my family. My mom made eggs Benedict every year and we would spend the morning around the tree watching Christmas movies.

Getting gifts aren't what Christmas is all about to me anymore. I look forward to the special Christmas Eve services that my church does and the look of the faces of my nieces and nephews. I enjoy Our Magnolia Home being covered in twinkle lights and plaid. That is like a present in itself!

I do miss the days of writing a letter to Santa, and hoping he brings you all the goodies you asked for. My wish list has gotten a little more grown up, but I wouldn't mind Santa brining me a little something.

Final Christmas Sneak Peek

Thanksgiving week is here, and with that bring the official start of Christmas. I have so many things planned for the month of December! Here are some final sneak peeks at Our Magnolia Home. There are still a few items left to tweak and not to mention that I haven't even really started on a vignette for the entryway.

My bar cart has officially found itself a new home in my office and it is doubling as a side table. It fills this space perfectly, and add a the perfect touch to the office. I can't wait to share the finished look with y'all during the Christmas home tour!

Every year my mom gifts me with a silver or mercury glass tree or two. I usually spread them all through out the house, put this year I decided to put them together to make a mini forrest in the living room!

I hope that y'all have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving with your loved ones! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays! I love to see my nieces and nephews running and playing and I love seeing family all gathered together.

{Gift Guide :: The New Homeowner}

I know that I am at the age where a lot of my friends are getting married and buying homes. Every new homeowner would love a few pretty gifts to make them feel more at home while they are settling into there new home.

Any product from The Laundress is a sure winner. I have tried many different types of laundry products and I always come back to them. Nothing make my laundry feel and look as good as they do!

{Gift Guide :: Preppy Lady}

When I was in college, all I ever wore on a daily basis was nike tempo shorts, an oversized tee and Jacks. Since I've graduated my prep style has grown up with me. I like to think of these pieces as grown up prep. These items are classic and timeless.

These tassel earrings are amazing! I was worried about them being too heavy on my ears, but they are the complete opposite. I can wear them all day without them hurting my ears. I got the teal clip-on ones a while back but these navy ones are to die for!

Curating Your Style at Home

Finding your decor style isn't always the easiest thing to do. It requires time, trial and error and a lot of gut feeling! At least for me it did. It didn't happen overnight and I have changed my mind so many times I can't even count. But now that I have found my style I completely love everything I put in my home. Each and every piece.

Here is my advice on curating your own style for your home:

Peruse magazines, Pinterest and blogs

Upon the invention of Pinterest it became much easier to get ideas for home decor, use it! Take time and search through all it has to offer. Create boards for different rooms in your house or even different styles that you've been drawn to. Magazines are one of my favorite ways to get ideas and inspiration especially around the holidays. I have ton of back magazine issues with dog eared and torn out pages.

Your style does not have to be completely one thing! It is ok to like more than one style as long as you find a way to meld them together.

Go to home decor shops and walk the aisles

It is one thing to look at decor online, but its even better to look at them in person. I recommend going to places that carry items for many different styles. My favorites are Home Goods, Pier 1, Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Target. Take your time and walk up and down the aisles. All the items that catch your attention, pick them up and look at them from all different angles.

Before you go, take pictures of the spaces your are wanting to fill. Pull them up on your phone when you are thinking about purchasing potential items.

Purchase items that you can return

You won't know how items truly feel in your home unless you actually bring some home. If you purchase something, start small and make sure you can return them! Put the pieces in different places, look at them all through out the day. If you don't love it, take it back!

If you do find something you love but you can't find it in a store, search online. I have found many great items on eBay, Etsy and even IG sales! And at the end of the day, if you can't find it, make it! That is what I did with the Charleston Map in my entryway, and it came out looking way better than anything I saw online.

Your home should be a reflection go you and your style! Go with what you love and take the time to make your house a place you truly feel at home!

{Gift Guide :: Blue and White Lover}

This had to have been one of my favorite gift guides to create! I love all things blue and these gifts are sure to please any blue lover on your Christmas list!

The navy Jack Rogers are so pretty in person. I love the color of them. Of the 15ish pairs of Jacks that I own, there are my favorites, next to my monogrammed ones that I got for our wedding!

More Christmas Sneak Peeks!

Even though my house is in full decorating mode, it is still hard to believe that Christmas is so close! I will be continuing my gift guides all this week, but I also wanted to share a little sneak peek of what is going on around our house too! This Christmas is the most elaborate of all 4 years that we have been married. About 85% of what I have done so far was not planned when I was brainstorming for Christmas decor last month. It has been one of those things when you start something and you just can't stop!

So far, I have 5 trees going up in all different sizes and all over the house! All of our trees are artificial after our real tree fell over about three times our first married Christmas! The main thing I miss about real trees is the smell. Have y'all seen theses scentsicles things? They hang in your tree and give off the smell of a real tree. Now they aren't the real thing by any means but they do make it feel a little more like you have real trees! They even have smaller ones that you can put in your wreaths.

A Mrs Among Magnolias will be full Christmas staring November 30th! I already have so much planned and I cannot wait to share it all with y'all! If you have anything you would like me to share, please feel free to comment below or send me an email!

{Gift Guide :: Classic Gentleman}

You know the saying, you can never go wrong with the classics. Well this 100% applies here! The men on my list are some of the hardest people to buy gifts for! So, the best way to get gifts for them is to always go with something classic. Getting some classic means that they can use it year after year, even if they didn't know they needed it.

There is not going wrong when Barbour or good leather is involved. So, get them a gift they will love for years to come!

Christmas Dining Room Sneak Peek

Last Christmas, the dining room was in a whole different spot in our house. So this year the dining room will have 2 trees and a fire place in it! I have put so much work into this room already and I love kicking back and enjoying it as much as I possibly can!

I think this is turing out to be the simplest mantel I have done to date, but I am loving the simplicity in the greenery and berries. The stockings were vintage finds on Etsy and they tie in perfectly with the tartan that I am using all over the house this year.

So, I have a week full of tablescapes planned for early December. Here is a peek at one of them that I have created so far. I started working on the second one this weekend. I plan on having at least 5 different tablescapes to help inspire y'all for Christmas!

Last year's Christmas tablescape was fairly simple and it was the first year I got to use the Christmas tree Spode that my mom has been collecting. I plan on bringing it back this year for some more fun! Shop some of my Spode Christmas Tree items below.

I am sharing a few more sneak peeks this week plus gift guides! Be sure to come back and take a check those out!

{Gift Guide :: The Hostess}

Do you have that person on your list who loves to host parties and entertain guests? These gifts are perfect for all of those ladies and gentleman on your list. These gifts are sure to impress and as an added bonus, your friends will think of you every time they use your gift.

Weekend Shopping : Candles

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7

I love candles, there is usually at least one burning in my house when I am home. Candles add a little something special to any room. They can change your mood and create a sense of home. These are some of my favorite ones that I love to keep around the house.

Life in Squares

I got my 5 trial pairs of Warby Parker glasses this week and I have been testing them out. This pair is my favorite so far. You can see all of the ones I picked here. On top of getting new glasses, it is finally started to get a little chilly here! So, I picked up a box of Starbucks Holiday Blend for the Keurig and it is so good!

It has been very hard holding back on the overload of Christmas photos! I know many people don't want to even think about Christmas until after Thanksgiving and that is usually what I do. But this year I don't quite have the luxury. We are having a Christmas party at our house the week after Thanksgiving! An insane amount of decorating has already commenced.

 It has been a year since I got my black watch Barrington Tote, so I thought it was time for a little upgrade. I went back and forth between a few different ones before landing on this one. I love that they have a special pocket on in the inside for an iPhone!

2 things I wear more than anything, loafers at a baseball cap. These are some of the most comfortable loafers I have ever found. The gold color will make them perfect for the holiday season.

This isn't really a square, but did y'all catch my Spode Woodland Thanksgiving tablescape? I am truly in love with it, but I am also very much so looking forward to starting on some table settings for Christmas!

Happy Friday!

Thanksgiving Tablescape

Thanksgiving is officially 2 weeks away, and I hope that means that a little cool air is also on its way! To celebrate the impending arrival of Thanksgiving, I am sharing my Thanksgiving tablescape. Before you continue, I have to warn you that this post contains a lot of photos!!

This has become my favorite table setting to date and I couldn't help but take all these photos. I was stumped with what to do for the table when I first started putting it together. Then I found the navy blanket and it all came together!
