Summer is here, and I feel like I have more dinner guests during the summer, so I wanted to put together a quick simple tablescape for your next dinner party. I love a grand tablescape, but I also love a simple tablescape. The simplicity allows conversation and the focus to be on the guests and the memories being made, instead of the tablescape itself.
I went in the backyard and took some boxwood clippings for the napkins. It is a simple 5 minuet task, but adds color and warmth to an almost all white tablescape.
You may or may not have noticed, but the location of the dining room has changed. Our home has 2 living rooms, and right now we do not have a need for 2 living rooms. The old dining room will become my office soon, and KJ will get his old office back. Since we are playing musical rooms, our house is kind of a mess right now, so I needed 1 room to at least look somewhat finished.
Can't wait to see all of the changes you are making! Love that your dining room table is in front of your fireplace!
