Friday Favorites

Why is it that long weekends make for a long week! So happy that today is Friday!

Memorial Day

KJ and I were able to get away for a few days this weekend. It was nice to have some R&R out in the country. He certainly loves to nap in this hammock.

Memory Lane

The ranch that we went to this past weekend, was also where we got married. We got to see the doors that my dad made for our ceremony. It is hard to believe that July will mark 3 years as husband and wife. I cannot wait to see what this next year holds for us! You can see more photos from our wedding HERE.

White Pants

I officially broke out my white pants, shorts shoes, everything! I love the look of crips white pants in the summer.

I hope you have a wonderful first weekend of summer!

Tote-ally LL Bean

See this full post HERE

The LL Bean Boat and Tote is one of my favorite go-to's. It is perfect for my every day errands, but it also will hold up for beach days and vacation. I have had the medium green tote for about 10 years now. Its a little dirty and a little faded, but other than that it has held up just like the day I got it. This past Christmas, I finally upgraded and got a Boat and Tote II with my married monogram on it. I love the look of the leather handles!

With summertime already here, I decided to order myself a larger boat and tote that I can take on vacation. I debated between the Large and X Large for a few days. I ended up getting the X Large, and I must say I am thrilled my my decision.

I love that LL Bean makes their totes right here in the USA, and supports American workers.

Here is the difference between the Medium (left) and the X Large (right), both with the regular handles.

If you are looking for a versatile tote that you can use for ages to come, I would highly recommend the Boat and Tote. For about 40 bucks + monogramming it is a wonderful value for the tote you are getting.

Memorial Day

The Laundress

Ever since becoming a wife and learning to run my own household, I have tried so many different kinds of cleaning products for our house and our laundry. I recently decided to try to some products from The Laundress, and now I don't think I can go back. Our laundry have never felt so soft, smelled so good, and been so clean!

I cannot say enough good things about the Signature Detergent, I use it on a lot of my husband's work clothes. Since it makes the clothes so soft it makes the wrinkles fall out of his clothes cutting down ironing time. Which for me thats a win!

I have used Woolite for years, even before I got married but now that I have used the Darks Detergent I don't think that I can ever use anything else for my darks again. Half of my closet is navy so keeping those navy items rich and full of color is crucial to happy clothes.

Along with the detergent, I ordered the Wash & Stain Bar and the Stain Brush. The Stain Bar is perfect for all kinds of stains, and the brush makes it easy to get all the tough stains out! This is definitely a must have for all laundry rooms.

Now, the Scented Vinegar isn't just for laundry, but it is what drew me to The Laundress. I like to use vinegar to clean with, but sometimes the smell is just unbearable. Vinegar is useful for so many uses around the house, and the wonderful smell makes it so much better!!

For all you moms out there, The Laundress also has a special set of laundry care items just for baby! It's hard to believe I am saying this, but I cannot wait to try these one day when I have a baby.

I love seeing the words "Made in USA" on products! I am happy to support a company that makes their products here in the good ole USA.

The Laundress products are safe for all types of washing machines. They also help to protect your clothes, even most dry clean only products can be washed with The Laundress. I see my clothes as an investment, and I want to do all that I can to keep them looking their best.

We have been making some changes in and simplifying our master bedroom, and honestly I feel like I have been changing it up a lot especially since December, but I can finally say that I am in love with how it is looking right now. It is a room I never want to leave most of the time.

I didn't like how my side of the bed looked, it was dark and cluttered, so one morning I put my mind to it and created a whole new space, and I am in love. We are still working on the rest of the space, but I am so excited that I wanted to share!

One of the best things about this new set up, is that I did not go out an purchase a single item. It was all stuff that I already had that was looking for a new home or a new purpose.

The side table was a gift from my in-laws our first married christmas, it fits perfect in the space! Since there isn't any storage, I used 2 of my totes to create a place to hide things and also a place to display some of my favorite totes. [plus they match the space perfectly!]

Sometimes my laundry doesn't make it all the way to my closet and my hamper at the end of the day, so I brought one of the baskets out of my closet and set it next to the bed. This way my dirty clothes aren't all over the floor. All I have to do is add a pillow on top to cover the laundry when I don't want it to be seen. Bet you didn't know there was laundry in there!

HERE is the link for the basket. The only color on their website it a dark brown, but I was able to find the light brown in stores pretty recently.

You can see a little peak of my Charleston, SC watercolor, from behind my laundry basket. KJ and I got engaged in Charleston, so it is a sweet reminder of that trip!

Funny story about this frame, I had purchased 2 of them to frame up some pictures for our living room. I got them in the frames perfectly and got them on the wall. I stepped back and the top one fell and broke and knocked the bottom one off too and messed it up. So, I had to order 2 more. I didn't want to let this one go to waste, so I hot glued the side that broke back together. It is not sturdy enough to hang on the wall, but it is perfect here on my side table.

To mat the print, I cut the fabric a little larger than the backing of the frame. Then I wrapped it around the back and hot glued it around the edges. To attach the print, I just used some double sided tape to keep it in place and straight.

I found our bedding at a TJ Maxx up in Tennessee. My husband thought I was crazy, but you can't pass up something you love at TJ and hope to find it again! But, our Euro shams can be found HERE

These lamps have been all over our house, but I think the have a found a good resting spot for now. I found these at Marshall's one night, and as soon as I saw them they went directly into my cart.

I purchases 6 or 7 yards of this navy gingham fabric when I was prepping for the Blue and White Bridal Shower that I hosted a few weeks ago. I ended up having a ton of leftovers, so I made this pillow cover and used it as a mat for my Southern Wedding's vow print. It ties the space together and adds a simple, classic touch.

I love having a live orchid next to my bed, it livens up the space. It has been over a month and I have still have killed it, fingers crossed it stays that way!! The Blue and White pot was a antique find.

I have tried to link as many items that I can find, but if you have a question about anything please let me know! I hope you love my new space as much as I do!

Thanks y'all for coming by to visit.

Falling Flat

Flats are my favorite! I hardly ever wear heels, and honestly I cannot remember the last time I wore them. They go with just about everything and you can dress them up or down!

Here are some of my favorite flats.

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight

The J. Crew ballet flats are probably my all time favorite shoes, I wear them all the time and they have lasted and lasted thought many years! Plus they go with just about anything!

Do you have a favorite?

Draper James

I don't think that I have ever loved a brand as a whole as much as I love the new Draper James. Especially all of the magnolias, navy and monograms!

I think that this is probably my favorite item of the collection so far!

Have you seen the new Draper James? If not go check it out now!

Friday Favorites

I spend way more time than I care to admit yesterday looking though all the of One Room Challenge reveals, and now it has me in the mood to fix up our laundry room. The laundry room has been on the to-do list for a long time, but after a freak accident with a (non-hot) iron and KJ's head, it has sky rocked to the top of the list.

Here are some of my favorite laundry room ideas:

I love the colors and mix of patterns. I have been trying to decide if I want to do an accent color or wallpaper in my laundry room.

I am dying over these navy cabinets!! I have got to find a way to add something like this into the laundry room.

This is just stunning! All the natural light, the bench, the pillows, the planking and the cabinets! I love it all!!

I cannot wait to get started! I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!

Blue and White Bridal Shower

Recently, I hosted a bridal shower at Our Magnolia Home, and since the brides colors are navy and salmon, I decided a Blue and White themed bridal shower would be prefect!

I had the breakfast table and the dining room table set for the shower. My favorite of the two was probably the breakfast table!

So, the greek key table runner, is actually one of the king shams from our bedroom, but I think it worked perfectly on the table!

The dining room table decor didn't end up as originally planned, but I do love how it turned out!

I wish I had gotten more photos of the rest of the decor, but I ended up getting distracted and only got pictures of the 2 tablescapes.
