Happy Hump Day, Friends! I hope that this week is going fast for you! Speaking of work, I wanted to share with y'all a few simple updates that I did to my office that made a huge difference and I also want to share some of my home office must haves! I did a little rearranging of the furniture, so it may look a little different! About a month ago, right after I finished decorating it I shared a little tour on the blog of my Home Office.
Being in my office 40+ hours a week, can cause my mind to wander and think of a new furniture layout! So not only did I add window treatments, but I also moved all the furniture around. It is one of the easiest ways to update a space for no additional money, and its not permanent, so if you don't like it you can always move it back.
I love the new layout, when I come in here now it feels like a real office. I even joke and tell my husband if he wants to come and talk to me while I am in here, he will have to sit in my "client chair." This layout has given me a new spark and passion to come in here and create! Truly amazing how rearranging furniture can give a room a whole new feeling and energy! I still want to get some curtains in here but I can't quite decide!
The Sweetest Helpers:
Again, this isn't really an office supply, but I love when she hangs out in my office with me! She even has her own bed in the office.
Non-work Area:
Having a space that isn't really a desktop that you work on, but a place just to have something pretty. This breaks up the work and lets you have a moment to not think about work!
Pretty Flowers:
Flowers can change the whole ascetic of a room, they can be real or fake, but regardless I think flowers are a must in an office. It brings color and brightness.
A Good Motto:
Everyone needs a good motto to live by, I have many, but this is the promise I cling to when it comes to work especially. The Lord has opened doors, and changed things in ways I would have never dreamed. To this day, He has never let me down.

Welcome to my office!!
So the new office layout is still in process, but the desk is the biggest thing that needed to be moved!
Without further ado, here are my must haves for an office!
A Good Planner:
I am a planner addict! I will have 2 or 3 planners at one time! Recently, I found this one at Target. It is a binder and you can add the planner and other pages as you would like! The Perfect iPhone case:
This isn't really an office supply, but I am in LOVE with this phone case I recently got. It is the perfect transition phone case from summer to fall. The Sweetest Helpers:

A Lamp:
I cannot say enough good things about having a lamp! I don't have the lamp on the desk, but it is right behind where I sit. Using a lamp verses an overhead light can make a difference. A lamp can provide soft light, while and overhead light can be a little too harsh.A Good Motto:

Here are just a few more photos of the office. Sorry, for the photo overload today!!
Have a wonderful day! I encourage you to go add some color to your office, you would be surprised how much of a difference it would make!
I love that canvas above the table! and on a random note, is that a Barrington tote in your pictures? I've been thinking about getting one! Do you recommend it?
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, it is a Barrington Tote! I love it and would highly recommend it! It is made of high quality materials and it has great pockets on the inside for all your stuff. I think the hardest part was picking out the color and pattern.
